My Story: From my early beginnings in the finance industry, I've always been driven by a passion for helping people navigate the complexities of mortgages and insurance. When the opportunity arose to build a business offering a more tailored, client-centred approach to these crucial financial decisions, Greenshoots Financial was born. My aim has always been to make a real difference in people's lives through personalised financial solutions.

Life Outside Work: After a busy week, my favourite way to unwind is spending time with family and friends and, of course, lots of cuddles with Betsy, who also happens to be our office dog. A well-lived life is balanced, and I try hard to remember that you are more re-energised for each new week by relaxing. We can forget it, but it is vital to us all!

My Story: I have been a member of the Greenshoots Financial family for several years, initially overseeing our operations' crucial regulatory and compliance aspects. My journey has always been driven by the desire to secure our client's financial well-being, ultimately leading me to pursue a formal qualification through the Chartered Institute. Today, I am proud to serve as a fully qualified Equity Release, Mortgage & Insurance Broker.

I also have the privilege of serving my hometown in Livingston to facilitate mortgage and insurance options that positively impact our client's lives, so you can sometimes find me "outside work" at work!

My Story: With a diverse career spanning multiple sectors - from the Royal Navy to private business, including media, beauty, education, sports, events, travel, and retail, my experience working with various companies has given me a great perspective on identifying the key factors that fuel potential. Today, I combine this expertise as a Protection Adviser at Greenshoots Financial, specialising in health, life, and critical illness insurance, while also serving as the Operations Lead and Marketing Strategist - helping shape the company’s vision and execution.

Why Greenshoots Financial?: I’ve been with Greenshoots Financial since its inception - in fact, the brand name and strategy were conceived by me over a coffee table discussion with Donna years ago. My goal for her and the business was simple: to create a brand that showcased a dependable, experienced, and genuinely friendly brokerage for clients seeking financial advice.

After a decade of leading marketing efforts, my role naturally expanded into day-to-day operations and financial strategy, alongside advancing my expertise in insurance. Now, I bridge the gap between client-focused protection and the operational backbone that keeps Greenshoots thriving.

Life Outside Work: When I’m not advising clients or fine-tuning business strategies, you’ll find me embracing the great outdoors, whether gardening or spending time with my dog (who is, admittedly, my biggest fan).

My Story: Stepping foot into the financial industry in 1980, my journey has been packed with experiences and learnings. I had 21 years with Prudential, delving into pensions and investments, general insurance, mortgages, and all protection needs such as life, critical, and income protection. My passion for clients' well-being led me to win numerous awards. Joining Greenshoots Financial opened a new chapter in my career, allowing me to continue helping clients realise their dreams.

Life Outside Work: Away from the bustles of work, spending time with my grandchildren keeps me energised. I love being part of their lives as much as possible and cherish the joy of family life. Additionally, with a keen interest in football, I actively support teams and local football club Fauldhouse - participating in various charities is something close to my heart.

My Story: I began my journey in the financial services sector approximately five years ago, a plunge I'm glad to have taken after spending several years in property lettings. As a Protection Advisor with Greenshoots Financial, I derive immense satisfaction from ensuring our clients and their families have secure coverage despite life's unpredictability. Prioritising excellent customer service, I firmly believe in putting the client and their experiences at the heart of all our operations.

Life Outside Work: Being a mother of two leaves me with little spare time. Still, I cherish any opportunity to embark on adventures and vacations with my little ones or immerse myself in a good book. The past eight months have been a delightful period where I've enjoyed maternity leave, witnessing my little angel, Neve, grow daily. As I return to work, I face the exciting yet challenging task of balancing my career and parenting. Nevertheless, I look forward to protecting our customers again and prioritising what's most important to them.
